The Santa Cruz Institute for Particle Physics (SCIPP) is an Organized Research Unit focussing on experimental, theoretical, and computational aspects of particle physics, astrophysics, and cosmology. SCIPP membership spans departments, including Physics and Astronomy & Astrophysics.

We play leading roles in experimental and theoretical particle physics and astrophysics, including the development of new technologies and applications to other fields, such as neuroscience and biomedicine, creating internationally visible opportunities for a large number of students at all levels.
